The adaptor resembles the basic shape of a Dewalt 18V pod style battery and is molded on the bottom to accept the newer 18V / 20V Max Lithium Dewalt slide pack batteries.
The adapter is designed to accept all Dewalt 18V/20v Max batteries – including 1.3, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 AH batteries.
Now users of the old Dewalt 18V power tools can extend the life of their tools and use Dewalts latest lithium ion batteries with greater runtime.

We have put together a starter pack that includes 2 x 4.0 Ah Lithium batteries with the compatable charger DCB115-XE. This will allow the user to continue to use the older 18V XRP tools, while also enjoying greater runtime.
 
Do not use adapter with premium batteries (DCB200, DCB204, DCB204BT, DCB205) in 18-Volt compact drills DC970, DC759. Use with DCB201, DCB203, DCB203BT compact batteries

Please note: The Adaptor is not compatible with the range of fixing guns including; DC608, DC616, DC618 and DC628.

Not to be used - with the Dewalt 54V / 60V range of batteries.
